What you will do

As a Techno-Functional Solution Design Consultant with GEP Worldwide, you will play a crucial role in engaging with potential clients, understanding their unique business needs, and articulating how GEP's solutions can address those needs effectively. This role requires a blend of functional acumen, technical expertise, value selling, and excellent communication skills. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Client Engagement: 
    • Act as a primary point of contact for potential clients during the presales process. 
    • Conduct discovery sessions with clients to understand their procurement and supply chain challenges. 
    • Collaborate with sales teams to qualify leads and opportunities, ensuring alignment with GEP's solution offerings. 
  • Solution Demonstration: 
    • Leverage deep functional knowledge of procurement processes, category management, sourcing strategies, and supply chain dynamics to tailor solution demonstrations to client requirements. 
    • Highlight how GEP's solutions align with the client's strategic objectives and can drive tangible business value. 
    • Showcase how GEP's technology platforms enable cost savings, process efficiencies, risk mitigation, and strategic decision-making. 
    • Emphasize the impact of GEP's solutions on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and business outcomes. 
  • Value Selling & Business Objectives: 
    • Collaborate with clients to identify their overarching business objectives and key performance metrics. 
    • Position GEP's solutions as enablers for achieving these objectives, emphasizing the value proposition and return on investment. 
    • Articulate specific use cases and success stories where GEP's solutions have delivered quantifiable results for similar organizations. 
    • Assist clients in understanding how implementing GEP's solutions can drive competitive advantage, revenue growth, and operational excellence. 
  • Technical Acumen: 
    • Possess a strong understanding of GEP's technology platforms, including but not limited to: 
    • Procurement and Supply Chain Software: Familiarity with eProcurement, sourcing, contract management, and supplier management solutions, Payment and Supply Chain Visibility tools. 
    • Analytics Tools: Ability to leverage data analytics platforms to derive actionable insights and drive decision-making. 
    • Digital Transformation Technologies: Understanding of emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, robotic process automation (RPA), and blockchain in the context of procurement and supply chain. 
    • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to provide informed recommendations to clients. 
    • Collaborate with GEP's product development and engineering teams to gather insights and provide feedback on product enhancements based on client needs. 
  • Solution Design & Proposal Development: 
    • Work closely with solution architects and consultants to design tailored solutions that meet client requirements. 
    • Develop comprehensive proposals and presentations, outlining the recommended approach, solution components, implementation timelines, and expected outcomes. 
    • Address client inquiries and objections effectively, building credibility and trust throughout the presales process. 
  • Knowledge Sharing & Training: 
    • Serve as a subject matter expert within the presales team, sharing best practices, insights, and success stories. 
    • Provide training and support to sales teams on product positioning, competitive differentiation, value selling techniques, and objection handling. 
    • Contribute to the development of marketing collateral, case studies, and thought leadership content to showcase GEP's expertise and capabilities. 

What you should bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred. 
  • Proven experience in presales, solution consulting, or technical sales roles within the procurement or supply chain domain. 
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, category management principles, and sourcing methodologies. 
  • Familiarity with procurement software, ERP systems, SaaS platforms, analytics tools, and digital transformation technologies. 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients, understand their business challenges, and position relevant solutions effectively. 
  • Proactive attitude, with a passion for staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. 
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
