You will join us in Engineering Technology and Methodology where we are building a team to deliver our ambitious targets through right first-time efficiency. You will have the unique opportunity to be in from the start so you can use your experience to set things up right from the very beginning. As the Senior Manager of the Technology and Innovation team, within Offshore Wind Engineering, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and delivering our technology and innovation strategy.This will include leading a team to deliver the technology and innovation roadmap and catalogue, whilst paying close attention to the rapid commercialisation of technologies to support our Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE) optimisation and sustainability journey. You will co-ordinate across and engage a complex landscape of internal and external stakeholders (including engineering, bp technical and non-technical functions, universities, innovation partners, start-ups) in order to ensure everyone is pulling in the same direction and our business objectives are being achieved. Job AdvertTechnology and Innovation Senior Manager (Offshore Wind)This role is advertised in our UK office locations however we are open to considering candidates from Copenhagen, Hamburg & Madrid.What you will deliver: Development and implementation of the global technology and innovation strategy, roadmap and catalogue, co-ordinating and collating across all engineering disciplines.Implementation and monitoring of the innovation and technology that optimise the LCoE of our projects whilst maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.Coordinate the global development of engineering innovation, finding, promoting and managing innovation projects.Ensuring that bp is selecting, contracting and delivering the optimal technology for projects.Promotion of innovation activities to ensure the use of most competitive industry partners.Ensuring accelerated deployment of technology and innovations to support the commercialisation of technologies.Provide support to and keeping the Head of Technology and Methodology informed through regular updates and briefing sessions.Ensuring that activities are properly resourced by managing the team workload, resources forecast and use of external support.Be responsible for building, training and leading a capable team to develop the technology strategy and innovation of OFW Engineering.What You will need to be successful (Experience and qualification):Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline. Desirable Chartered Engineer or specific MSc.Wide technical experience in technology and innovation development and deployment with a deep understanding requirements, standards, interfaces and constraints.Understanding of the commercial impact of the technical decisions, being able to take the technical decisions which maximize the global project benefits.Good innovation projects understanding and entrepreneurial behaviour. Shall be capable to promote and influence the sector for innovation to optimise projects LCoE and improve projects safety, sustainability and quality.Excellent communications skills, being responsible of aligning the technology strategy with the rest of bp.Preferably experience in offshore wind or similar sector.
