OurTechnology Audit team at RSM works as an integrated part of an audit team toprovide an opinion on company’s financial statements. RSM’s audit purpose is to build confidence inthe financial statements of the businesses we audit, so shareholders, ownersand other stakeholders of the businesses can use that information in decisionmaking, such as investments.
RSMfulfil an important role in society of building trust, and confidence, inbusiness. Within that, our Technology Audit team’s purpose is to demystify theever more complex technologies that clients use in the operation of theirbusiness. In essence to ensure we do a high-qualityaudit having understood the technology in use and how to audit it properly.
Aspart of the team, you’ll be using your ability to understand the technology aclient uses and how it supports their business. You’ll be assessing what can go wrong, and how it might impact thebusiness. Then by assessing what isrelevant for the financial statement audit, you will test the client’s controlsas a crucial part of RSM’s audit procedures and report findings within our teamand to the client.

Aboutthe role
AtRSM, you’ll be a key member of our team from day one. This is an exciting,hands-on role, as you will be joining a small (currently a team of 10), butfast-growing team. You will be a key member from day one, and the role willoffer you plenty of opportunities to develop and progress in your career,whilst enjoying a broad range of clients and industries to engage with.
Thedepth of services and clients you’ll be exposed to will help you kick-startyour career. You could be working with a wide variety of organisations,including large, listed companies, national retail chains, and high-profilecharities, as well as some of our international clients that operate throughoutthe UK and beyond.
RSM’sgraduate in Technology Audit will give you access to top quality careerdevelopment. Alongside hands-on experience, you’ll benefit from on-the-jobtraining from more senior members of the team and gain access to our internaltraining courses that will help you develop in the role. With our support,you’ll become a true trusted adviser to your clients in the future.
Whenyou join this team, you’ll work towards the Certified Information SystemsAuditor (CISA) qualification.

We’reon the lookout for enthusiastic self-starters who are always up for achallenge. Technology Audit is a technically demanding discipline, so we lookfor students who are quick to grasp new subjects. It’s important you also havean interest in technology, good communication skills and great attention to detail.
You’lloften need to explain technology risks and their impact on financial operationsto non-technology specialists, so you’ll need excellent written and verbalcommunication skills. What separates us from our competitors is the IT and financialacumen we demonstrate and we expect that right from the start from our people.

Entry requirements
At RSM, wedon't just look for good exam results. We think passion, personality andoriginality are just as important.
You will need:
- 112 UCAS (new tariff) across 3 A Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification or 104 UCAS (new tariff) across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers. Please note, RSM does not accept General Studies, AS levels or the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
- A predicted or obtained honours degree.
UCASchanged their points system so under the old tariff it would be 280 or 260points respectively.
