Great opportunity for a Technology Procurement Manager to join a rapidly growing Insurance company who are maturing the procurement function to match the growth of the business.Working in partnership with business stakeholders, you'll plan and lead on technology procurement activity in accordance with the strategic procurement plan. You'll deliver expert procurement services and advise on all aspects of procurement activity that deliver value for money, minimise risk and align with business requirements, delivering best in class procurement strategies. You will manage an annual spend of c.£20m across over 100 suppliers.Key responsibilities:Work with Senior Management and the stakeholder group to develop and deliver a clear written Technology procurement strategy.Expand the impact of Technology procurement across the Group, embedding strong stakeholder engagement to demonstrate procurement is an integral part of the Technology team.Deliver category expertise and strategies within the Technology category.Optimise Technology procurement across multiple projects simultaneously.Structure and lead procurement activity to ensure value for money is constantly achieved across the most appropriate supplier portfolio.Have in depth knowledge of market and commercial trends in Technology to optimise sourcing strategies and leverage maximum benefits from the supplier portfolio.Identify opportunities to exploit economies of scale (standardisation, normalisation, consolidation of suppliers etc.) and undertake effective regular reviews with stakeholders to monitor, review and update the Technology procurement strategy considering the demand pipeline, the contract renewal calendar, in-term re-negotiations, benchmarking and supply issues, risks and trends.Set clear goals for cost savings and value creation in alignment with business strategy whilst ensuring continuity and robustness of service.Identify, manage and mitigate commercial and operational risks and issues to support key procurement activitiesYou will need:Category Manager / Procurement Manager leading end to end procurement activity across a range of Technology commodities within a regulated environment.Experienced in the formulisation and implementation of procurement strategies.Experienced in negotiating material contracts whilst minimising business risk and maximising commercial benefit through scale and relationships.A demonstrable knowledge of outsourcing arrangements, best practice and negotiating a sourcing outsourcing contracts.Educated to degree level or holding an equivalent professional qualification.MCIPS qualification or equivalent desirable.On Offer:£65,000 - £80,000 plus bonus and attractive company benefits.Remote role with the opportunity to work from one of their UK offices if desired.
