The Position Job Title: Telecoms Engineer Apprentice Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 Network Cable Installer Apprenticeship Duration: 18 months + 3 months for EPA Location: Southampton, in and around surrounding areas Working Hours: Monday – Friday Salary: £18,000 - £24,000 pa depending on experience Role and Responsibilities: The apprentice will have exposure and training in the following fields: · Attending customer sites across the UK to install and maintain IP-based telephone systems supplied by our client. · Training on various systems, including Luminate Cloud PBX, Telcoswitch Cloud, NFON Cloud, as well as IT/Networking, routers, and switches. · Providing support on-site and remotely from the office when required. · Demonstrating strong company values to customers while working face-to-face with them. · Communicating clearly and professionally with customers, explaining information patiently and with enthusiasm. · Traveling across the UK, which requires a current UK driving license. · Training will be conducted mainly by shadowing a senior engineer on customer sites and occasionally from the office. Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge: · Self-motivated with a positive attitude. · Full UK Driving License · Good communication skills and a solid understanding of IP Networking. · Ability to communicate clearly and patiently with customers. · Previous experience in IT, Networking, or Computers would be advantageous, though full training will be provided.
