Context:

Reporting to the Head of Information Security, we are currently recruiting for a Telecoms Security Architect to support delivery of TSA by backfilling the activities of the wider security team. Ensure there is sufficient resource to deliver TSA compliance by assuming the responsibilities of the cyber security manager in the various domains as required.

What the Telecoms Security Architect can expect to be doing:

  • Work with Enterprise, Corporate and RAN/Tx security teams, to ensure project deliverables are met while domain teams concentrate on TSA delivery.
  • Support the Head of Information Security for delivery of security projects within the domains.
  • Deal with operational security issues, relieving teams for TSA delivery.
  • Attend governance forums and service review meetings.
  • Manage risk where required and support the budget demand.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Heatmap data collation and threat modelling.
  • Undertake risk assessments and make risk-based recommendation for mitigation and compensating controls in a mobile telco environment.
  • Conduct complex investigations of cloud security violations and incidents.

The successful Telecoms Security Architect will have:

  • Experience with Azure and M365 security.
  • Good knowledge of Windows end user devices, Sentinel and Defender.
  • Strong understanding of ISO27001 & Risk Management.
  • Experience of regulated security environments.
  • Expertise in security policy, specifications, and standards.
  • Ability to work with minimal management intervention.
  • Experience of security project delivery from a technical perspective ideally from a regulated industry i.e. telco, finance, rail.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and the ability to write clear and well-structured reports.

Nice to have:

  • Telecoms knowledge.
  • CISSP/CISM or equivalent.
