Job Description

Main Purpose of the job:

This role is a 6-month contract to work on a project to support the White Bear Ltd MGA platform in the allocation of historic unallocated cash to broker remittances, within the MGA Policy Administration system (Eclipse Broking), and to work with relevant internal and external stakeholders to resolve related queries. Following the completion of this project, a permanent role may be available on a broader credit control basis.

Key tasks:

  • Reviewing legacy unallocated cash and matching to remittances received.
  • Liaison with brokers, and underwriters when/if required, in respect of overdue premiums and remittance queries.
  • Ledger data cleansing as required.
  • Creation and reporting of MI to support progress of above.

Key personal skills required:

  • Good analytical, mathematical and organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Adaptable and Flexible with a ‘hands on approach’, and ‘can-do attitude’.

Key technical skills, knowledge and professional qualifications required:

  • Previous credit control experience gained within the London Insurance Market.
  • Knowledge of MGA/Broking processes would be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of Eclipse Broking system or equivalent would be advantageous.

Risk and Compliance responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant PRA and FCA conduct rules.
  • Responsibility for the proper performance of all regulatory roles held in the course of employment.
  • Responsibility for the proper performance of any FCA/PRA Prescribed Responsibilities assigned from time to time and contained within a Statement of Responsibilities.
