The Client

My client is a specialist in Hydrographic, Land, and Engineering Surveys company established in 2016 they deliver precise and accurate dimensional data of both constructed and natural surroundings, utilising state-of-the-art equipment and advanced techniques.

Our client is a multidisciplinary survey company with expertise in various surveys, including Topographical, Boundary, Hydrographic, Dimensional Control Surveys, and Marine Vessel scanning, both in the UK and internationally.

The Role

Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Tender Engineer- Survey to join their team. Reporting into the Business Development Manager, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects by producing high-quality tender submissions and ensuring the technical and commercial aspects of their proposals meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, approach and secure new business.
  • Develop and produce high-quality tender submissions, ensuring all internal processes are followed meticulously.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure the correct technical approach is advised and offered to our clients.
  • Liaise and negotiate with third-party suppliers and vessel brokers to secure the most commercially competitive quotations.
  • Write comprehensive proposal documents by collating information from relevant departments.
  • Price tenders accurately, ensuring that all third-party costs are competitive and aligned with project goals.
  • Compile full tenders, identifying required deliverables and coordinating their production accordingly.
  • Host or attend internal and external tender meetings as necessary.
  • Address tender clarifications and coordinate with the team to ensure all client questions are answered promptly.
  • Ensure an efficient handover from tendering to operations, capturing all departmental requirements.
  • Work closely with the Commercial & Tendering Manager to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Requirements

  • A degree in a survey/engineering discipline (preferably related to marine, offshore, or survey engineering).
  • Experience in offshore survey/engineering/ROV roles is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and assertive personality.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage responsibilities effective.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
