The Role

This Territory Sales Manager role is part of a dynamic, fun Sales team that sells our revolutionary burns and wound management product across the UK and clocked a 71% increase in revenue in the last 12 months.

Backed by an effective, responsive marketing team and support personnel, the role services a well-established territory encompassing all major healthcare organisations in Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield and Stoke-on-Trent and offers exciting growth opportunities.

The Candidate

You will have a natural selling ability and thrive in a highly competitive industry, relishing the opportunity to present a simple, elegant surgical solution to a sophisticated market.

With experience selling in the operating theatre/ OR, you will be comfortable providing clinical advice to surgeons and other healthcare professionals, tapping into expertise from our professional staff in the UK and around the world, and ensuring all sales activities are within the Regulatory and Quality System requirements and compliant with PolyNovo’s Code of Conduct.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new revenue opportunities to gain and maximize sales
  • Nurture and maintain strong relationships with key clinical and commercial customers
  • Develop clinical and situational fluency to deliver the PolyNovo clinical and economic value proposition.
  • Report to the UK Director of Sales with regular updates about territory insights, submit monthly reports, quarterly TAP and other reports as required
  • Negotiate and implement consignment agreements where appropriate
  • Conduct in-services and medical education to Health Care Professionals (HCPs), supported by dedicated Medical Science Liaison personnel.
  • Participate in trade shows and customer events (some may occur after hours and on weekends)
  • Provide feedback to the QA Team including customer complaints /feedback /usage information in a timely manner pursuant to Quality Standards
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis thereby maintaining high customer satisfaction

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, and/or Health Science e.g. Nursing, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, etc
  • At least 3+ years’ experience selling medical devices in theatres/ OR.
  • Experience selling advanced wound care or related medical consumables is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring new business as an advantage
  • Ability to lead and navigate through large complex deal cycles.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong reporting, documentation, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly EXCEL, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience using and maintaining a CRM system would be highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to take accountability for the quality and timeliness of work outputs
  • High level of experience working autonomously and within a small team environment, able to track your sales and effectively communicate with other team members while out in the field.
  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically as required (up to 50%); may occasionally be required to travel internationally
