Position: Toolmaker Location: Alcester Basic Salary: £29,620 - £36,000 per year Hours: 7.30 am to 4.45 pm M-T (7.30 - 13:00 Friday) Job Type: Permanent Role Overview: A prominent engineering company is seeking a skilled professional to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in New Product Introduction and Development, focusing on tooling design and manufacture. Key Responsibilities: New Product Introduction & Development: Collaborate with the Engineering team to facilitate the tooling design and manufacturing process. Tool Usage: Demonstrate understanding and safe use of air tools and hand tools. Machining Support: Provide support for production machining activities as needed. Machine Setup: Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling according to established procedures. Operational Efficiency: Execute operations efficiently as per job card or technical instructions to meet required output levels. Person Specification: Industry Experience: Previous experience in Automotive, Aerospace, or Defence sectors, with evidenced tool room experience.(4 years) Team Player: Build and maintain good working relationships, always acting as a team player. Attention to Detail: Maintain high attention to detail and process adherence, applying a right-first-time mentality. Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders. Reliability & Dedication: Demonstrate reliability and dedication in all aspects of the role. Workload Management: Manage workload efficiently, prioritizing tasks where necessary. Housekeeping: Be conscious of, and adhere to, housekeeping requirements. Qualifications: NVQ in machining.
