You'll be joining our Developer Experience Services Team to help shape and manage the direction of SDLC tools and services in Sky. You will use your extensive technical and innovative problem solving skills to deliver a high quality Developer Experience to our internal customers.
What you'll do:
- Provide support, administration and development for multiple business-critical Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) tools within Sky technology.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of SDLC tools in Sky, by integrating, extending and customising vendor products and contributing to the creation of internal tools used to deliver improved efficiency and controls to development teams.
- Continuously identify methods to increase the value delivered by the SDLC toolset, keeping ahead of the technology roadmap and in step with latest market innovations.
- Use your varied skills and experience to own and deliver small to medium sized tasks and projects
- Follow best practices with enthusiasm continually evolving our capabilities through collaboration.
- Investigate technologies and solutions, report and make recommendations
What you'll bring:
- A forward looking and innovative mindset to continuously improve the Developer Experience
- Administration experience across a number of SDLC Tools (Jira )
- Extensive problem solving, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and experience
- Sys admin experience on a number of platforms, with Kubernetes/Docker experience highly desirable
- Scripting and Development skills for developing internal tools and automation of processes (Java, Javascript, Groovy, perl )
- Experience of automated build pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab and GitLab CI, Maven
- An enthusiasm and aptitude for learning new skills and technologies.
- Takes ownership to make a difference contributing to team initiatives
