Tourism touches on all of these, as we are seeking a qualified and versatile consultant to join our ‘Aviation, Travel and Tourism’ division.

At an experienced consultant level, this role combines business development with project delivery and you will be responsible for working collaboratively with ICF colleagues to grow our tourism practice and to successfully deliver a diverse range of projects around the world. You will also be expected to contribute to our IP and business development efforts by building a network of client relationships, working on proposals, attending conferences, and contributing to ICF’s thought leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow ICF’s business with tourism clients, primarily in Europe, Middle East and Asia, with resulting revenue pipeline and sales conversion in line with divisional growth targets

  • Develop a network of tourism-related subject matter experts from across ICF’s diverse areas of expertise; collaborate successfully on joint initiatives

  • Participate as a member of a consulting team on client-based projects and eventually lead projects.

  • Interface with clients to gather data and present results of studies and analyses

  • Write reports and presentations to synthesize and explain analyses

  • Support development of intellectual property development projects

  • Support ICF corporate growth and business development initiatives, such as the development of proposal responses, intellectual capital, white papers, and marketing materials

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years of work experience in relevant fields such as destination management, tourism product development, tourism data, tourism branding/media/comms or tourism consulting

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word & Excel);

  • Strong analytical aptitude and working knowledge of analytical or quantitative methods;

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written English communication skills;

  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;

  • Ability to work for multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary teams and clients spread across different countries and time zones;

  • Ability and willingness to travel abroad extensively for work as necessary;

  • Additional languages, particularly Spanish, a plus (but not necessary)
