Job Description

You will be joining a fast paced team in the UK Newstrade department of Future PLC, working on the trade marketing of many exciting magazine brands. As well as designing and implementing retail campaigns, the team focuses on analysing magazine distribution and sales performance in the UK.

Future publishes around 100 magazine titles, many of them household names, and this role will drive our titles' visibility and sales in major UK retailers. No day is the same in this varied role!

What you'll be doing...

The Trade Marketing Associate is responsible for managing a key portfolio of magazines. They are accountable for the day-to-day management, devising and implementing retail trade marketing and distribution strategies and improving efficiencies. A day-to-day in the life of a Trade Marketing Associate will include:

  • Developing and implementing circulation strategies with publishing, and meeting agreed objections. You'll also take remedial action for titles which are under-performing sales expectations.
  • Fully analyse performance at all levels and present results both internally and externally, verbally and in written reports, acting on any findings.
  • Manage retail campaigns, maintaining title budgets and forecasts.
  • Actively establish and maintain working relationships with all areas of the business including Publishing, Retail, Logistics and Supply Management.
  • Investigate and develop new innovative marketing and sales opportunities to support the future growth of your titles
