ABOUT THE ROLE

Based in our European headquarters in Maidenhead, the EMEA Milwaukee Brand team is responsible for the management and execution of all product, brand and major event marketing launches. The department is a busy and dynamic function that supplies all European regions with the marketing assets needed to deliver the company’s ambitious financial growth targets.

Reporting to the Brand Director for Handtools, as the Handtools Trade Marketing As Executive/Manager (experience dependent) EMEA, you will be expected to support the day to day marketing activities of the organisation for the successful product launches of our successful and Hand tools and Storage divisions. These two areas of the business have seen rapid growth in recent years and the successful candidate will need to work closely with various internal teams and suppliers throughout the European organisation to ensure that this growth mindset is continued. 

The successful candidate will need to come into this role with the right mindset of being willing to learn and take in new information but also have the ability to take ownership of any project that they are given whilst also being able to work within the wider team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • To work closely with the EMEA product management teams to ensure the creation of effective marketing support materials for new product launches.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with the European marketing teams, working with them to create effective solutions and support with local implementation and translation.
  • Liaise with external marketing agencies (e.g. Creative, print, production, merchandising), creating briefs and managing projects with these agencies.
  • Taking ownership of our Product Information Management system to ensure that all the correct data is being maintained and feed into our downstream services (Catalogue, Website, HDN, Profile Manager).
  • Working closing with all Product Management and regional Marketing Managers to develop campaigns and promotions to support the commercial plan. 
  • Involvement with event management including Pan-European dealers conferences and events.
  • Preparing quarterly press releases for new Storage and Hand tools products
  • Support the management and implementation of in-store POS creation for key launches
  • Creation of brand literature including the annual Accessories and Hand tools Catalogue, Quarterly Heavy-Duty News, Trade Brochures as well as developing leaflets and inserts for key product focus areas

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • A 2:1 University Degree or above, ideally in business and/or marketing. Or applicable onsite experience.
  • Highly motivated and eagerness to fulfil the position’s responsibilities effectively and in a timely fashion.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in software packages such as: MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
  • Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Enthusiasm to travel, as appropriate, both internationally (mainly Europe) and in the UK.
  • A good team spirit and a strong self-starter.
  • Ability to speak a European language in addition to English is beneficial, but not essential.
