Trading Underwriter - Property & LiabilityAre you someone who is passionate about partnering with brokers and customers to truly understand their wants and needs?Aviva are looking for Underwriters to join our teams to be aligned to a portfolio of brokers/customer to proactively develop and profitable grow their commercial book of business!This role does require you to go out on broker visits across the North West broker market so there is a need to be flexible with travel. A bit about the job:To be a multiclass underwriter who operates within agreed guidelines and authority levels to profitably grow the book of businessTo be a great communicator who regularly has meaningful face to face meetings with brokers and/or customers to build their confidence in us and to make Aviva their insurer of choiceTo deal end to end with brokers/customers book of businessTo embrace and understand our SME strategyTo be curious to grow understanding of the commercial businessSkills and experience we’re looking for:Previous property & liability underwriting experience is essentialThe ability to analyse risks and communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customersWork collaboratively within a large complex organisationGood knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislationStrong commercial business acumen to create and deliver business casesWhat you’ll get for this role:Our purpose - with you today, for a better tomorrow – is a promise we make to our colleagues too.
