Trainee Engineering Manager (training provided)

Experis Academy has an exciting and unique opportunity for candidates to be trained to become experienced Engineering Managers working for a British Defence company who play a pivotal role in deterring international threats. If you have experience in an engineering environment, hold an NVQ, completed an internship or higher level of education in an engineering related discipline or have Military experience in an engineering environment and have a genuine passion and drive to further your career within this field, then this could be the opportunity for you.
We are looking for systems-thinkers who we can train and develop to work across a range of exciting design, integration, construction and commissioning projects within our customer’s defence and infrastructure space. You will be dealing with complex systems, and you’ll develop critical assets from initial requirements through to design, construction and commissioning.
As part of the extensive programme, you will receive a blended learning approach. This will include a bespoke 10-week up-front training programme to provide you with the necessary tools, experience, and training to help develop your skills within Engineering. The training will be centred around the systems engineering framework, covering systems thinking, systems engineering fundamentals, requirements engineering, architecting, product design, systems engineering and architecting standards, model-based systems engineering, systems integration, and systems testing.
Following this 10-week training programme, you will be allocated to the role itself. Spending your initial 12 months doing the role as an Experis employee as you put your training and existing skills to use. You will receive mentoring from our customer’s existing employees and support to help you succeed in the role itself.
The aim of our programme is for you to transition to become a permanent employee of our customer, bringing with you all the training and awareness that you have developed to enable you to work on cutting edge Systems Engineering solutions.
