At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking a
Day Shift Supervisor
in our busy Depot in Cullompton.
The position involves:
Provide leadership and supervision of day-to-day transport/warehouse operations.
You will also be required to work closely with the Transport, Customer services and warehouse admin teams to ensure the smooth running of the operation as a whole.
Coordination activities include Holiday & Sickness cover planning, Operational communications, Health & Safety compliance, and equipment maintenance.
Assisting with team brief topics and documentation.
Managing the equipment maintenance and service schedule for the operational equipment.
Monitoring and auditing Health and Safety and compliance.
Investigating all queries, both internal and external.
Assisting in production of KPIs and daily statistics.
Effective control of issuing drivers departures in line with business strategy, enforcing best practice and company process by coaching/development.
Monitoring the efficient recordings of driver data paying attention to detail and completed in a timely manner.
Essential Skills required:
Experience of working in a similar role is preferred and you should have a good working knowledge of traffic management systems.
Ability to communicate at all levels.
Strong geographical knowledge of the local area.
Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
Attention to detail.
Working to deadlines.
Solution driven and Flexible approach to your work.
Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
MS packages to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Working hours: 05:00hrs
17:00hrs, based on 4 on 4 off rota.
