Job Description

We are looking for Transport Supervisors to join our team.

The shifts are 4 on 4 off covering earlies and lates.

Salary £25,500 per annum.

How will you contribute?

  • General administration duties in-line with Transport legislation, company policy and procedures
  •  To work with, assist, and report to the Transport Management team
  •  Ensuring good standards of Health and Safety processes are followed by yourself and the team
  • Daily execution of the plan, ensuring all collections are made on time in full and accurate completion of daily Transport paperwork
  • Chase outstanding collections as per the plan
  • Regular communication with the planning department of any delays / lateness / issues
  • Primary point of contact for customer enquiries / changes to schedule, ensuring these are logged accurately
  • Collation of information for KPI reporting
  •  Utilising the Transport Management System
  • Managing drivers’ hours, infringements and control of Tachographs
  • Managing and controlling sub-contraction requirement.
  •  Liaise with relevant departments / sites to achieve the most effective loading schedule.
  • Assist with the management of vehicle defects through the VOR process

What will you bring?

  •  To be able to effectively communicate with customer, suppliers and colleagues.
  •  Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a professional attitude.
  •  Must have a flexible approach and be willing to carry out varied tasks positively, reliably and accurately.
  •  An excellent team player, able to work on own initiative and make decisions.
  •  A background in logistics is preferred, although full training will be given.
  • Experience of working in or alongside a Transport Team.
  • Good general PC skills.
  •  Good knowledge of driver’s hours and WTD.
  •  Working knowledge of Transport Management Systems would be advantageous although full training will be given.
  •  Flexible approach to working hours.
