Job Description

CityDoc, part of European Lifecare Group is currently seeking registered Travel Immunisation Nurses for two of our Flagship travel clinics in London's London Bridge and Victoria.

The Role

The focus of the role is on the delivery of evidence-based care for patients
presenting with travel screening requirements, with the emphasis in preventing related infections and tropical illnesses.

As one of our nurses you will undertake travel risk assessments and administer vaccinations and antimalarial chemoprophylaxis.

You will work collaboratively within our friendly team environment to meet the needs of patients and support the delivery of our policies and procedures, whilst also assisting other travel nurses in working to policies, procedures and PGD’s.

Candidates must have experience in travel vaccinations however we offer additional training and in house upskilling to all candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide an effective and competent level of travel care.
  • Be accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation, auditing and evaluation of travel health care.
  • Proactively identify and manage treatment plans and vaccination schedules for patients at risk of developing travel related conditions as appropriate.
  • Work with other health care professionals to monitor, manage and treat patients in line with national and local policies and practice needs.
  • Advise, support and administer vaccinations where appropriate for patients pre and post-travel.
  • Carrying out agreed audits, writing appropriate reports and making
    recommendations on findings.
  • Accessing computer-based information either on the web or shared databases.

It is essential that applicants for this role hold a current valid NMC registration.

This role is a permanent full-time position, 40 hours a week.

Some shift work. Occasional Saturday cover will be required.
