The Recruitment Co are recruiting for Trommel Checkers for a waste recycling company based in Little Hulton, M38.The successful candidate must meet the following criteria: Prior experience or knowledge of the waste industry is desirableYou must be hardworking, reliable and flexibleYou must be able to work as part of a team and have good communication skillsYou must have an understanding of industry safety standards (safety conscious)You must have good observational skills and be able to work quicklyChecking trommel (fixed plant) outdoors so must be willing to work in all elements and environments.Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance to the trommel (fixed plant) under the instruction and supervision of the Welders.Periods of longstanding and a lot of walking, with few breaks so must be physically fit for the role.Must have good English or Polish communication skills so can clearly converse over a two-way radio.Must have an interest/ be mechanically minded but no formal qualification required.Subject to a month trial period and if successful rate of pay will be reviewed to reflect individuals experience, skill set and commitment to role.
