Key Responsibilities

As the UK Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the team in creating a best-in-class finance function, developing our controls, processes, and the foundations for our continued growth. You will report to the Finance Manager and work closely with other members of management. This is a varied role and you will be working across various aspects of the Group Finance team, have exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to drive key projects as the business continues to scale.

What you'll be doing...

  • Management of finance operations for the main trading UK entity, such as GL management, posting of monthly journals, cash flow forecasts and treasury management.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting with written commentary.
  • Preparation of tax reporting and compliance for the UK entity: corporation tax, VAT, transfer pricing and Video Games Tax Relief.
  • Supporting various process improvement projects and strategic initiatives such as the recent Workday ERP implementation.
  • Liaising with external auditors and preparation of statutory accounts.
  • The role will be very hands-on, so passion and drive are crucial.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Essential:
  • Big 4 ACA newly qualified.
  • Graduate with strong academic record (2:1 and above).
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently, problem solve and drive projects to completion.
  • Ability to design and implement new processes, not just work within existing ones.
  • Effective communicator, comfortable working with senior leaders and teams across the business.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Highly organised with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced English level
