As a team:

Procurement Plus is responsible for buying and enabling the supply chain Accenture needs to provide its market leading offer to clients, we partner with our business stakeholders to enable their visions which range from creation of cost competitive market offerings to innovative supplier partnerships. You'll work on innovative projects with colleagues to drive collaboration from strategy through to implementation using the latest technologies.

Our marketing function are responsible for delivering insights, programs and experiences that grow our business and create value for Accenture and our clients

The procurement buyer lead is responsible for ensuring we have the right supply chain to deliver the goods and services to enable the marketing vision and priorities. This involves working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, leading sourcing and contracting exercises in the market to identify new suppliers and the supplier management of our existing partners

Key responsibilities would include:

Category Strategy

  • Input to and support the implementation of the global & regional marketing category strategy
  • Work with local business stakeholders to understand local business requirements
  • Lead the implementation of the global strategy in the UK&I market unit
  • Ensure Category Management team is informed of local category strategy and targets

Sourcing & Contracting

  • Lead sourcing exercises including RFIs and RFPs in the UK&I market unit to deliver the category strategy and market unit objectives
  • Provide support in upfront market research and supplier identification for all sourcing projects
  • Facilitate the roll-out of global/regional/local sourcing initiatives within the UK&I market
  • Perform supplier selection for UK&I projects and negotiate commercial proposal with suppliers
  • Responsible for working with suppliers and legal to implement contracts aligned to the above exercises and market unit objectives
  • Ensure that all exercises are aligned to Accenture governance and procurement policy
  • Build trusted partnerships with our supplier panel to deliver our strategy and market unit objectives
  • Manage KPI reporting of supplier performance, and identify opportunities for data to improve the delivery of our category strategy
  • Ensure suppliers are delivering services and performing obligations in line with contractual requirements

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with the global category management team to ensure the UK&I strategy is delivering in line with global principles for the market unit
  • Business partner with the UK&I marketing team being a trusted advisor and supporting them achieve their objectives
  • Ensure communication flows between the relevant functions at a local and global level that are involved in delivering marketing strategy

Qualifications

We are looking for experience in the following skills:

  • Proven knowledge of Procurement methodology and sourcing execution
  • Experience buying in the marketing category and sub categories
  • Strong analytical, presentation, communication (written & oral), interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, adopt a flexible approach and prioritize tasks appropriately
  • Comfortable navigating in a multicultural and broad environment and with all levels of the organization
  • Strong stakeholder management, relationship building and communication skills aligned to a proactive customer-focused approach
  • Forward and solution minded, team player and with high degree of self-management
  • Comfortable working in a matrix type organisation
