Role Description
Our client are looking for a Unified Communications Service Delivery Manager
- Telecoms Services: Responsibility for corporate and operational telecoms services, including management of third-party contracts and support for LAN/WAN, microwave connectivity, mobile device management, and other telecoms services supporting the operational network.
- ITIL Processes: Joint responsibility for all ITIL processes, including the transition of new and retiring telecoms services.
- Business Continuity Plans: Ownership and maintenance of business continuity plans for telecoms services.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Lead teams to deliver telecoms roadmaps, ensuring project delivery deadlines and maintaining BAU service levels.
- People Management: Lead a team of over 20 direct reports.
- Supplier Performance Management: Oversee performance management of suppliers providing telecoms and mobile support services.
- Network Development and Maintenance: Develop, test, and maintain corporate and operational communications networks, including handling configuration, documentation, and reporting.
- Telecoms Infrastructure Documentation: Ensure telecoms infrastructure is fully documented, with tested business continuity plans and continuous review of current design to plan for future changes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with Executive and Senior leaders, as well as key vendors and partners.
- Service Operations Management: Manage telecoms service operations, including ongoing contract and service level management for third-party SaaS providers.
- Budget Management: Oversee a telecoms budget of approximately £6 million.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in a Telecoms management role.
- At least 5 years of experience managing telecommunications systems and networks.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, technologies and protocols.
- Experience managing third-party contracts.
- Proven experience in managing and leading a technical team.
- Knowledge of telecommunications standards and regulations.
