Additionally, our office is divided into smaller pastoral care teams to foster relationships and ensure a supportive culture, emphasising wellbeing.Job Description What will you be doing?We’re seeking a talented individual to join our VAT team in London, which is responsible for We provide a wide range of tax and consulting services to a broad range of companies. To act as a key point of contact within the firm for the client, together with the VAT Associate Director/ Director / Partner. You will manage your own portfolio of VAT clients, working with Partners/Directors on complex consultancy and advisory projects as well as the review / management of some VAT compliance work.In your role, you will provide VAT advisory services to clients in a wide range of industry sectors in the UK and internationally. You will have ample opportunity to further develop your VAT technical skills as well as your relationship building skills, managing your own client portfolio and further your career within the firm.As A VAT Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will include among othersBuilding and maintaining key client relationships by delivering excellent client service;Input into the successful delivery of VAT projects, ensuring technical excellence and a commercial approach is taken;Manage and work on a portfolio of complex VAT advisory cases;To be technically strong on VAT mattersIdentifying opportunities on client portfolioSupport on VAT due diligence including reviewing businesses for existing and potential tax issues from both a buy-side and sell-side perspective;Liaison with Senior Managers to Partner gradesCounsel and develop associate level staff through delegation and on the job trainingWork collaboratively with peers in the Business Tax team and across firm to ensure a joined up approachQualificationsKey Experience/Skills:Proficient in UK VAT law gained within the profession and/or industryClient driven and commercially minded Ability to deliver consistently excellent client serviceMotivated team player with a flexible attitudeExcellent communicator (both written and oral)Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders both internally and externallyEducation/Qualifications:Qualified (or exam qualified) Accountant (ACA, ACCA) and/or CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA, law qualification)Additional InformationAs a colleague here at Evelyn Partners, you will have access to benefits that include:Competitive salaryPrivate medical insuranceLife assurancePension contributionHybrid working model (role dependant)Generous holiday packageOption to purchase additional holidayShared parental leaveWe are proud to value the differences that a diverse workforce brings, representative of society and our clients.
