Job description:

This role is working with one of our Companies, EES Solutions. EES is an Engineering Design & Development Consultancy

Our services encompass all areas of the design and delivery lifecycle from idea conception to a fully validated design ready for production.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with different teams across the business to understand their vehicle networking needs, for example to create serial data interfaces for new features.
  • Responsible for the design and implementation of communication message changes
  • To create and maintain the networking specification outlining the business requirements and best practices for the implementation in electrical and electronics units
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a robust signal database change management process
  • Support and management during the content definition phase to ensure requirements and guidelines are being met
  • Work with different engineering teams and suppliers on interface development
  • Develop network design verification plans at both ECU and vehicle level

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Demonstrated technical knowledge, experience, and ability in automotive networking technologies (CAN, LIN, Ethernet etc)
  • Experience or knowledge of related technologies (e.g., AUTOSAR, serial data analysis, calibration processes, programming tools, etc)
  • Experience in Vector Elektra and Capital Networks would be considered an asset
  • Experience or knowledge of relevant tools (e.g., PREEvision, CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, Doors, Rhapsody, IBM Synergy, IBM Rational Team Concert, etc)
  • Experience in analysing automotive network dataflows and analysing databus bandwidth requirements.
  • An understanding of the implications of ISO26262 on automotive system architecture desire would be strongly desirable.
  • Experience in delivering database extracts from tools like PREEVision, Capital Networks (VSX), SystemWeaver etc.
  • Able to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & troubleshooting of issues.
  • Experience of the Systems Development Lifecycle (V Model).

It would also be nice if you had:

  • Experience or background in the development of vehicle electronic and software architectures.
  • Experience of engineering and business release processes within the automotive sector.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills - at ease coordinating a team of engineers and suppliers.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and methodical individual who is self-motivated, able to work well under own initiative and remains focused under pressure.

Education:

  • Electrical, Electronic Systems, Electro-mechanical, Automotive, or similar honours engineering degree.
  • Other recognized engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience may be considered.
