Expleo are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Crash Test Technician, to join a leading Automotive Research and Development Team, for a Global Automotive Manufacturer. Based close to Milton Keynes / Bedford, you will be working within a dedicated team of development Technicians and Engineers on a contract basis.
This is not your every day workshop environment and you will be a key player in the test and development of future vehicles. You will be responsible for the preparation / building of vehicles or components for crash test, 3D co-ordinate equipment set-up and measurement, carrying out tests in static and dynamic conditions and gather test data / results, liaison with Test Engineers.
To be considered for the Crash Test Technician, you will have knowledge, skills and experience in the following areas:
• Ideally educated to City & Guilds / BTEC / IMI / NVQ Level 3 or higher, ideally in mechanical, electrical or automotive engineering with a recognised apprenticeship or qualification within a relevant field
• Vehicle Crash Test - preparation and measurement skills
• An understanding of vehicle dis-assembly, assembly and maintenance techniques
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostic tools
• Understanding of component measurement techniques
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint for report writing
• Valid UK / EU Driving Licence
