Job Description

Role: Vehicle Service Technician
Location: Sheffield, S60 5BD
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and some Saturdays - with a day off during the week when working a Saturday
Salary: £27,000 per year + a bonus scheme which provides an on target annual earnings of £33,000.

Job Role:
To conduct servicing and repairs to many different marques of vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
To perform diagnostic testing to identify faults.
Ability to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Work on a team basis with your peer group across all other functions across the business unit for the benefit of overall business performance and maintaining positive and open communication to assist this process.
Effectively communicate to customers.
Understanding of different warranty schemes and how these affect customers.
Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
Ensure PDI’s are completed and notify the customer of any advisory.
Follow assignments through to completion, meets deadlines and deliver on promises.
What skills or experience do you need to join the team?
You must have a full valid UK driver's licence.
Experienced as a Vehicle Technician desirable.
Relevant City and Guilds qualification desirable.
Own a stocked toolbox and basic servicing items with being able to use these for work purposes.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experienced in communicating effectively with customers, in a clear and concise manner.
A working knowledge and experience in complying with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
