Veterinary Clinical Director - Kelsall, Cheshire

We are recruiting for Permanent Clinical Director to run a small animal practice in Kelsall, Cheshire.

This role is available on a full or part time basis ideally with a minimum of three days per week. There is also a shared weekend and bank holiday rota which is based at their local RCVS Animal Hospital.

They have invested in a refurbishment recently which has improved facilities further and have invested win an ultrasound scanner and improved clinical areas further.

The practice is committed and passionate forward-thinking practice continually ensuring that a high standard of Veterinary care is provided along with good client relationships. They all share the caring ethos regarding both clients and pets. They also share the importance of a creating a happy working environment and ensure there is always harmony and happiness within the team. The practice has a very family and village culture feel and all the team work well together and embrace all aspects of the role. They regularly have team discussions looking at ways they can progress, and they share case discussions and best practice thus offering opportunities to develop skills and knowledge. They would be looking for a Clinical Director to promote this practice culture.

In terms of experience the are looking for a CD with at least 4 years experience and someone who classes themselves as a confident clinician. They will have strong communication skills and demonstrate leadership skills and be able to inspire and motivate a clinical team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Management of the overall team within the practice both clinical and non-clinical
  • The CD will be responsible for the day to day running of the practice
  • The CD will be responsible for complying with RCVS regulations.
  • The CD will also have a clinical role within the practice
  • Financial responsibility - contribute towards setting budget and achieving budget
  • Actively promote the clinic and grow the client base
  • Add value to the clinic
  • Type: Small animal
  • Hours: Full or part time minimum 3 days per week
  • Weekends: Yes on a shared rota
  • OOH: None
  • Sole charge: Some
  • Team: 6 Vets, 5 RVNs and 2 SVNs
  • Consultations: 15 minutes
