Job Description

If you’re looking for a flexible vet role where you can develop your skills and pursue areas of interest, then we have a great opportunity here for you at Leeds Kirkstall Vets for Pets!

We’re generous with our CPD offering, which colleagues are actively encouraged to use to further their interests and develop their skills in a direction of their choosing. So, if you want to pursue a post graduate qualification or certificate, we’re happy to help support that.

You’ll be joining an inclusive, supportive team who are passionate about being at the heart of the local community. Our practice provides excellent facilities giving you access to all the equipment and space you need to care for your patients. You can take a tour here to see more.

Our practice is in a great location, within an even greater city; Leeds is the third largest and one of the fastest growing, greenest cities in the country. Leeds can be easily accessed by road, rail and air, making it the perfect place to work and live. Award-winning parks are nearby and an added bonus of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside is right on our doorstep, making this a great location to explore on your time away from the practice.

We can build a full or part time work pattern to suit you with no OOHs and weekends are on a rota basis with limited cover to keep it fair for everyone.

A competitive salary based on experience, up to £65,000, aswell as all the standard benefits you’d expect from a major employer (pension, healthcare, paid memberships, competitive salary etc.) plus a few more, such as excellent career progression, exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 30% off at Pets at Home), and relocation packages from within or outside the UK, including visa sponsorship if needed (we’re an A+ rated sponsor).

You should have small animal experience gained as a general practitioner, and great people skills. You will be comfortable with sole charge but will also relish being part of a team.

Pets just see people. And just like pets, we embrace everyone’s differences. We work to break down barriers, attract and develop diverse talent, and create a culture that allows everyone to be the best they can be.

Our diversity and inclusion vision is that everyone is welcome and feels part of our group. So, if you think you’re a good match to what we are looking for, and you share our belief that together ‘we’re better with pets’, we’re waiting to hear from you, whatever your background or circumstances.

Location: LS5 3BL

Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
