The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Crown House Vets, Rochdale!
What’s on offer?
A salary of up to £60,000 dependent on experience.
A welcome bonus of £2000 (pro rata) for new hires.
Relocation support of up to £3000.

What’s expected of the successful candidate?
role will involve a mix of consulting and surgery. Any areas of particular interest are welcomed and CPD encouraged. The successful candidate will be confident, relatively experienced, and ready to get stuck in! Ideally the position would be 38 hours worked throughout the week, but this is flexible and open to negotiation. Our working day ends at 6pm and there are no out-of-hours. Weekend work would be 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (9am until 12pm).

About Us
Crown house vets is placed in an ideal location close to the town centre, and easily accessed by car or public transport. We are well equipped with diagnostics including inhouse lab, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Our theatre is kitted out for soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, if you have an interest in this area.
About the Team and Culture
As our new vet you will be working alongside our current, and very experienced vet, who has a keen interest in feline medicine. You will also have an excellent team of 5 long-serving, hands-on nurses for support. They run their own nurse consults and are happy to get involved in schedule 3 procedures. We have a lovely support team made up of 3 receptionists, a practice manager and a practice director. We are a down-to-earth bunch, who are ready to welcome a new face to our practice! For many years we have supported our local cat charity in getting their residents ready to go to new homes. We are well known in our local area and pride ourselves on delivering a personal and professional service. If you are looking for a fulfilling role, (with endless supplies of tea, coffee and cakes!) we would love to hear from you. We’re a very social bunch! We often meet up outside of work for meals, drinks and dog walks! Access to mental health services is provided to all staff. We’re very lucky to have a dedicated wellbeing champion on our staff! There’s always someone to talk to on those harder days.
Applicant Requirements
Ideally, our new team member will have adequate experience to be able to consult and operate independently. We can get fairly busy so the ability to work under pressure is an advantage. RCVS registration is essential, extra certification desirable.
