The Role
Arg Beiyn Vets, Isle of Man is looking for a small animal vet surgeon to join their team. We can consider full/part time applications, Caseloads can vary and there is scope for you to develop your caseloads and have days allocated to your specific area of interest e.g. surgery, ultrasound, dentistry to name a few.
A typical day on consults would include a range of 2-hour blocks for routines, non-routines, and emergencies. Each vet also has 'operation days'. These 'Operation days' allow the vets to work more in their areas of interest: surgery, ultrasound, dentistry and finishes with an evening surgery.
Rota
Our full time rota is 36 hours per week between Monday-Friday (8:30am-6:30pm). OOH is one night per week (or less) with 1:4 weekendwhich includes Saturday morning consults (9:00am-1:00pm). Our flexible approach to rota patterns can truly enrich your work life balance. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you need to do the school pick up, need reduced hours during school holidays or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern we can fix or flex our patterns to suit you. We would be happy to discuss what works for you.
Salary
Up to £63,000 negotiable D.O.E
Relation allowance of up to £5,000
1-year national insurance holiday
Maximum 20% income tax banding
About us
We already have an established, experienced team of 6 vets, ranging from 4-14years, with special areas of interest in surgery, ophthalmology, ultrasound, dentistry, and medicine. We have a visiting cardiologist, experienced veterinary surgeons and an inhouse internal medicine head vet. We believe in treating our nurses as the registered professionals that they are and our 8 RVNs offer great support to our team.

Candidate requirements
Must be RCVS registered, ideally with small animal veterinary experience and confident in sole charge. Further certification is fully funded and supported.
