You will be deputed on client project with an OEM’s PT CAE Propulsion Group for Electrification projects. This team is responsible for simulations in all areas within PT such as Traction Batteries, EDUs, E-Machines, Inverters, Transmissions, Drivelines, et.al. The CAE assessments from this team feeds into significant engineering & program decisions in the product development cycle.
You will be responsible for CAE durability analysis at System / Sub-system / component level within the Propulsion System. You will also co-ordinate with physical testing team to corelate the simulation results and gather learning to optimise the methods for future assessments.

Key Responsibilities
Skills Knowledge and Experience
· Educated to a minimum of Degree level and fundamental knowledge of power unit systems and in particular Automotive Traction Battery (Regenerative Energy Storage System).
· Minimum 5 years industrial work experience with the following CAE Analysis.
· Experience of linear static / random response and non-linear solves, ability to generate shell/solid meshes and apply complex boundary conditions, using tools like Hypermesh, Primer, LS Dyna & Abaqus.
· Experience in Conducting Vibration & Hi-Cycling Fatigue Analysis.
· Experience in explicit dynamics, gasket sealing, stress and fatigue analysis (nCode/FEMFAT).
· Experience and knowledge of optimisation techniques (Bead / Shape) using FE optimisers (Tosca).
