Risk & Insurance Manager | Hybrid - London | £90,000 - £120,000 + Bonus & Benefits!
My client manages the Commercial Real Estate business for one of the world's leading global Invesment management firms. They are looking for a VP Risk Insurance Manager to come in and support the Head of Risk. The role will be advising portfolio clients of a global investment firm on insurance policies and strategy.
As the Insurance Risk Management Specialist, you'll play a vital role in maintaining existing insurance, leading policy renewal processes, and coordinating the onboarding process for newly acquired portfolio companies. Additionally, you'll provide essential support to portfolio companies in their risk management efforts and engage with brokers, insurers, and third-party attorneys to ensure compliance with lender requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing risk management initiatives across EMEA and portfolio companies
- Lead policy renewal process and negotiate policy terms
- Coordinate onboarding process for newly acquired portfolio companies
- Provide support for portfolio companies with their risk management initiatives
- Engage with brokers, insurers, and third-party attorneys to ensure compliance with lender requirements
- Develop a strong understanding of each portfolio business to accommodate changing needs
- Support senior management in interpreting policy terms and conditions
- Train team members on insurance lines and risk management practices
- Prepare presentations for senior management at Blackstone and portfolio companies
- Lead claims meetings and manage third-party relationships
- Oversee analysis of loss data and recommend corrective measures
- Maintain risk management information system platform and other technology systems
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business, insurance, and/or risk management
- 8+ years’ experience in insurance risk management, brokerage firm, or insurance company
- Extensive experience with Commercial Real Estate
- In-depth knowledge and expertise on Property, Liability, Construction Works, and Financial Lines
- Ability to analyze financial information and create concise reporting for senior management.
- CII Level 4 certification, CIC, CPCU, CRM, ARM or higher
