What you’ll do at Elekta


As the Vice President of Marketing will be reporting to the Business Line Head of Software Solutions. It’s a senior leadership role that could be based out of either of our EU locations like the UK, Stockholm, Helsinki, etc. The Head of Marketing leads and manages the overall marketing activities for the Software Business Line including product marketing, product launch, and product positioning.



  • Overall positioning strategy of the products in the portfolio (in relation to each other) and tailored to different markets.
  • Develop competitive positioning, including, product comparison and objection handling with product marketing.
  • Drive strong execution around key marketing processes including New Product Introduction, Lifecycle, and commercialization process including creating a sales structure model for new products with SAAS and enterprise focus.

The right stuff



  • Work with Marketing counterparts to translate positioning and value proposition to communication that can be used to create sales enablement tools such as case studies, website copy, campaigns, and events (including clinical marketing component).
  • Liaise and influence Elekta product adoption with strategic external stakeholders, including KOLs, C-suite, etc.
  • Contribute to Global conference ownership on software presence and deliverables.
  • End-to-End product responsibility along the assigned product lifecycle for Elekta’s Digital Portfolio.
  • Contribute to a product strategy based on market, customer, and competitor analysis in line with portfolio and solution strategy.
  • Lead the generation of business cases for the region.
  • Collection of product market requirements.
  • Keep current on competitor products and key market drivers
  • Translate market requirements into solution configurations across hardware, software, and services based on a minimal viable product approach.
  • Coordinate product and service feature improvements based on market feedback together with D&E, service, and marketing (e.g., customer pain points).
  • Contribute to the DTV agenda across all relevant functions to maximize profit.
  • Monitor delivery of products according to product specifications, on time, within budget, and quality.
  • Manage product lifecycle decisions (EOS, EOGS, EOL) together with Regional Marketing

Nice to have



  • Bachelor’s/Master's degree, MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of product marketing and/or Sales experience within the healthcare space.
  • Experience in Selling Software as a service (SaaS)
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally–up to 50% approx. time.
