We are working with a market leader within the trading markets, who have created a range of online trading facilities, to make trading accessible for their clients anywhere. Within this role you will be setting the standards across the development function as a VP of Engineering.

They provide simple, flexible, and reliable platforms that make us the easy choice for traders, whether they are beginners or experts. They’ve evolved and rebranded in more than two decades, but the mission remains unchanged. It motivates their team to seek new challenges and serve their clients better.
This role is hybrid, you’ll attend the office located in Reading. They will be looking for an experienced VP of Engineering paying a salary ranging from £120,000 - £135,000 per year. You will also receive an annual bonus which on average is 2-4 months’ salary. Other benefits will include Health benefits, travel, and internet allowances.
Responsibilities for the VP of Engineering:
- On a road-map for developing products and services that require enhanced scalability, performance, security, and disaster recovery
- Recruit and onboard an experienced team of software developers, software architects, and DevOps engineers
- Collaborate with other offices, the management, and cross-functional teams
- 15+ years of managerial work experience
- Leadership and managerial skills
- Experience in software architecture and system design
- Software development experience in Node.JS, React, Perl, C++, PHP, Python, or other languages
- DevOps experience in AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Chef
- Database knowledge with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle
