VP Specialty Finance

This US HQ'd investment company ($50bn AUM) is actively looking to appoint a Specialty Finance, Asset Manager. This will centre on esoteric, private market deals, covering distressed debt and special opportunities, legal asset allocations, and specialty real estate loan deals. The ideal person will have experience of commercial and economic evaluation, management through to investment committee preparation and on-going asset management.
Requirements:
- Experience in private credit investments, including specialty finance (real estate, legal assets, and other esoteric deals;
- A minimum of 3 years of experience within a buy side investment company (funder/allocator);
- An interest in the combination of financial services and legal services sectors;
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights;
- Proficiency in contract negotiation, compliance, and risk management;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
