Warehouse and Logistics Manager - Driving

i am looking for a Warehouse Manager for my client based in Letchworth for an immediate start, this role will be a permanent position with a immediate start.

As a Warehouse Manager you will be hands on in managing a team of circa 15 Warehouse Operatives. We operate a complex multi warehouse campus. Your role will involve daily team engagement and support across a fast-paced operation. Active day-to-day teamwork is required to ensure warehouse operations are successful in meeting tight deadlines and which involves goods in, picking, replenishment and dispatch, all in a fast paced environment. Reporting to the Customer Relations and Operations Manager your role will include:

Managing Receiving, Warehouse & Distribution operations, warehouse mapping and layout for efficiency working, maintaining policies and procedures. Driving forward changes to improve efficiency across the logistics network

Controlling warehouse budgets and purchasing.

Ensuring all teams are quality controlling all stock and items when it enters and leaves the warehouse

Planning and implementing new initiatives in all areas of order fulfillment, ranging from pick efficiency and accuracy to packing improvements.

Recruitment, induction, training and development processes for warehouse operatives,

promoting a positive employee culture and to minimize staff turnover .

Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce, managing the site teams across all aspects of the warehouse campus to meet and exceed KPI's

Supporting and building relationships with key account reps and courier services to ensure our business to business relationships grow

Ensuring all teams are quality controlling all stock and items when it enters and leaves the warehouse

Regularly reviewing rotas and staffing numbers to ensure optimal resourcing levels.

Providing effective leadership within health & safety and promoting only the highest standards at all times.


The successful candidate will have the following :
•5+ years experience of working in a fast paced warehouse/packing environment
•Strong leadership abilities, driving results through a team approach
•Ability to engage, coach and develop your team
•Ability to challenge the 'status-quo' of the operation and implement plans to improve
•The dedication to work hours necessary according to the business needs
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent decision-making abilities
•H&S experience/credentials
•Forklift license is desirable
