Part of the Distribution Centre Lead Management team that provides great service to our stores, ensuring customers have great availability and standards of product by leading a team of Managers and colleagues on a dedicated shift who do what’s right for our customers and Tesco.

You will be responsible for

  • Analyse and spot trends in Big 6/KPIs in my Distribution Centre, build and deliver warehouse improvement plan to build capability where it is needed most.
  • Maximises the My Performance process and tools to aid individual performance, productivity and standards.
  • Use my expertise and knowledge to identify opportunities to improve the Warehouse performance, engaging and supporting my team to deliver these.
  • Co-ordinate all Warehouse plans, KPI’s and resource to ensure delivery and sustainable improvements on all KPIs, whilst achieving our Distribution Centre financial budget.
  • Champion change, share ideas and experiences to deliver results.
  • Build the capability of my Managers, making sure they have received the Operational and Leadership training to do their job and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring
  • Lead my team to deliver end to end Distribution Centre routines and standards in line with the Operating model.
  • Co-ordinate and effectively forward plan for all seasonal, trade driving and promotional events to maximise sales within stores by ensuring stock is dispatched and received at the right time.
  • Collaboratively work with support office and store leads to ensure our Warehouse Operating procedures are best in class and focus on providing our stores with the service they require.
  • Focus my team to deliver accurate goods to stores, improving store product availability and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring my team deliver safety standards, hygiene standards, maintain the cold chain and food hygiene.
  • Leading Direct to Depot changes, organising my Managers to deliver and sustain change programmes, achieving optimum product availability for customers.
  • Leading preventive shrink and security plans for my shift.
  • Operating collaboratively to achieve the best service for stores across all shifts.
  • Being the accountable Duty Manager for the shift as part of a rota, making decisions that are right for our customers, colleagues and Tesco.
  • Leading our store community plan, generating and delivering ideas and encouraging our Warehouse Service teams to do the same.
  • Leading the resource planning activities so that all hours are worked when and where we need them to effectively service our stores.
  • Building capability of my Managers knowledge of related Warehouse Service Shift Manager Distribution Centre and support them to identify and resolve root causes issues, with sustainable solutions and continual review.
