Opportunity

Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd is one of world’s leading manufacturers of commercial mowers and turf maintenance equipment. Based in Ipswich, Suffolk, our products are built to enable customers to accurately cut turf grass at football stadiums, golf courses, public parks and roadsides. We are seeking a Warranty Analyst to join our Aftermarket team, who will analyse warranty data and liaise with external stakeholders on behalf of the Company.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing and processing warranty claims in accordance with our warranty policy, consulting with service/engineering departments as necessary;
  • Preparing and reporting the departments Key Performance Indicator's (KPI) through scheduled data extracts;
  • Using data analytics as the basis for business change, presenting evidence-based recommendations for improvements to the design and manufacture of our products;
  • Managing the warranty returns process, including communicating with dealers and suppliers regarding the return of parts/products for investigation;
  • Managing warranty registrations, ensuring appropriate documentation is stored to validate warranty periods;
  • Auditing and training our global dealer partners on the warranty processes, to minimise the negative impact of vehicle faults to our customers;
  • Supervising and developing the Warranty Intern during their placement year;
  • Taking on specific projects as requested, and other duties as required in the daily running of the Customer Care department.

Qualifications/Skills/Education Required:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a business/finance field, or related subject is desirable;
  • Clear written and verbal communications, with an ability to summarise and communicate results from large amounts of data (both visually and in words);
  • Ability to analyse and compile data, and present recommendations to management;
  • Excellent customer service and organisational skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft based applications and IT literate;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, whilst maintaining effective communications regarding status and updates of function;
  • Must possess the ability to interface effectively with other functional areas of the company as well as a worldwide customer base;
  • Effective time management skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines;
  • You should be detail oriented, and look to add value to everything you do.
