Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Web Editor to join our team on a 1-year fixed-term contract.

Dealmoon UK is looking for an experienced Web Editor (Social Media) to be responsible for the production and maintenance of content, PR images for the PRICETRACE UK LTD website, ensuring that it meets its objectives in reaching the widest possible audience. This involves writing and editing copy, sourcing appropriate images and video content, and devising appropriate methods for presenting and optimizing this content.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with departments across PRICETRACE UK LTD to research, create and maintain online resources.
  • Ensure that content is accurate, up to date, and provides an excellent user experience.
  • Together with Marketing and Business Development colleagues, devise and publish integrated promotional campaigns for various deals.
  • Find creative and new ways to organize ad-hoc and complex content to ensure the website stays fresh and continues to appeal to new audiences.
  • Provide supports to the editorial team, and coverage of brand events and networking conferences.
  • Deal with media requests from businesses, and build relationships with media outlets in the industry, both in the UK and China.
  • Monitor the media, including newspapers, social media platform and blogs, for various consumer brands’ emerging news and opportunities.
  • Research, create, and distribute press releases to target media, while maintain media coverage from multiple channels and report on its key performances and effectiveness.
  • Undertake additional duties, as required, from time to time.
  • Undertake training and development courses and programme, as required.
  • Show the highest integrity and confidentiality in the pursuance of these duties.

Required skills:

Native ability to write and speak in Chinese. Good English speaking and writing skills.

Degree level education or equivalent experience.

Strong organizational skills, able to coordinate contributions from several sources into a single production, manage workloads and meet deadlines.

Working in online communications, preferably on a large website.

Use of content management systems, photo editing tools (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Meitu etc.) and basic web editing languages (e.g. HTML).

Devising and implementing quality standards.

Ability to write accurately, grammatically and persuasively in plain Chinese, adhering to the house style.

Understanding of search engine optimization, social media channels and the importance of content marketing.

Awareness of web-related legislation including copyright, freedom of information, data protection and the disability discrimination act.

Ability to think creatively, excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate clearly and diplomatically.

Self-motivated, able to work towards deadline and under pressure.
