About The Role

Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Workplace Manager to join our team in Coalville on a full-time, permanent basis.Our Workplace department's mission is to be bold, placing exceptional customer service at the forefront, cultivating a supportive, flexible and sustainable workplace environment that consistently surpasses the evolving needs of our business.
As an ambassador of our mission statement and company values, your role as a Workplace Manager with a strong technical background involves ensuring the smooth operation of all physical assets and infrastructure within this 22-acre facility.
Working alongside your team, you’ll oversee maintenance, repairs, and safety practices, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. Your responsibilities include managing budgets for capital expenditures (CapEx) and operational expenses (OpEx), as well as coordinating with customers, contractors, and suppliers. Leveraging technology such as Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems and Building Management Systems (BMS), you’ll optimise processes and enhance efficiency. Whether it’s managing planned maintenance, conducting safety audits, or coordinating space utilisation, your expertise contributes to creating a safe, functional, and productive environment for colleagues and visitors.

About You

This is a new and exciting role to support this state-of-the-art vehicle conditioning centre in Coalville, a workplace to be proud of. You will be passionate about developing and creating a highly effective Workplace team to support our customer ahead of our return to the Coalville facility in September 2024. Your leadership in establishing the systems, process and equipment will be essential to a successful site launch.

You should have technical knowledge and experience of plant, machinery, and light industrial equipment maintenance, with a strong focus on sustainability and forward maintenance planning. Additionally, you should take a pragmatic approach to reactive maintenance and small project works to deliver a fast and efficient service.
Your extensive experience in technical services and premises management will involve overseeing planned maintenance and repair activities for both vehicle repair equipment and building services, ensuring seamless operations.

Running project activities from inception to completion will be second nature to you; this includes all aspects of planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination.

You will be experienced in supply chain management to confidently collaborate closely with suppliers, monitoring service standards through agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

This is a new facility; it will require your existing skill and experience to optimise Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems and Building Management Systems (BMS) to establish and streamline operations and enhance efficiency. Your proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio, will further contribute to your success.
Minimum criteria
  • Proven track record in both hard and soft services, you will excel in managing commercial workplaces.
  • An experienced people manager with experience in conducting performance management reviews, provide training, and fostering professional development for your team.
  • Ability to build and manage annual budgets, whether it’s capital expenditure (CapEx) or operational expenses (OpEx), ensuring financial efficiency.
    Level 3 qualification in health and safety (NEBOSH GC or equivalent) and demonstrate unwavering commitment to occupational health, safety, and welfare.
