The Production Control Workshop Technician will be responsible for building, testing, maintaining and repairing a variety subsea controls equipment. They will carry out these task by working to engineering diagrams, drawings, and routings whilst meeting required quality standards, prescribed costs and agreed lead times.

As a Workshop Technician - Production Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • Adjusting and coordinating workshop priorities at short notice to meet customer and business needs
  • Collaborating with other departments/functions within the Montrose COE as well as building relationships with the Controls COE at Nailsea
  • Carrying out maintenance and repair of technical, mechanical and electrical equipment / production equipment before and after shipment offshore
  • Creating a positive working environment and atmosphere to allow the team to achieve their targets
  • Promoting and improving HSE culture on the shop floor
  • Having strong knowledge of Subsea Controls Systems, including software / electrical expertise
  • Fault finding techniques on both hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Working closely with Software engineers to diagnose and resolve software issues
  • Working closely with QC to ensure documentation is signed off and procedures are correctly followed

  • Proven experience of both mechanical and electrical as a technician or similar
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with peers and closely with customers whilst on site
