Wayman Education is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Year 1 Teacher to join a reputable ‘Good' one-form primary school in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a proven track record of delivering excellent teaching in a KS1 setting. Aside from that, the successful Year 1 Teacher will work collaboratively with the school team to ensure all students receive a positive and engaging learning experience.

This is a vibrant and exceptional one-form entry school in Hertfordshire . It is easily accessible by public transport and seeking to appoint a qualified Primary teacher from February 2024. Responsibilities of a Year 1 Teacher:
- As a Year 1 Teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 1, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment
- Teaching the Key Stage 1 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses
- Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry
- Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories
- Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents
- Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning
- Collaborate with school management, teaching staff and parents to provide quality academic support for KS1 students
- Bachelor's degree or above in Education, or related field
- Teaching qualification and QTS
- At least 2 years of experience in teaching KS1 students
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality education
- Ability to create and present engaging and interactive lesson plans
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff
