Wayman Education is looking for a Year 6 teacher in Luton, Bedfordshire! This is a wonderful opportunity to work within a Good primary school in East of England. The school is looking to appoint a class teacher who will enjoy teaching an academic yet creative, topic-based curriculum in a school with exceptional pastoral care.

This is a spectacular and welcoming two-form entry school in Luton, Bedfordshire. It is easily accessible by public transport and seeking to appoint a qualified Primary teacher from April 2024. Responsibilities of a Year 6 teacher:
- As a Year 6 teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment
- Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses
- Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry
- Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories
- Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents
- QTS, PGCE and strong academic record
- Creative, imaginative, determined, resourceful and adaptable practitioner
- Passionate about learning
- Able to demonstrate a track record of success within a Year 6 environment
- Able to communicate your passion to children and parents
- Ability to demonstrate outstanding practice in the classroom
