It is expected that the successful applicant will gain competency in all of Head and Neck surgery including the management of complications. This includes complex ablative head and neck, thyroid, parathyroid, and robotic surgery. In addition, the successful applicant will receive training in head & neck ultrasound. To be considered for the post, applicants must be senior trainees (either Post CCT, or in the final years of training).Trainees in a national training scheme will need to seek approval from their training program director to take up this post outside of their training program). Applicants will also be expected to have had basic and advanced training in Head & Neck Surgery. Demonstration of a commitment to training in Head and Neck Surgery, good communication and team working skills are essential. Other experience in the form of audit or research is desirable.
