Youth Offending Case Manager Barrow-in-Furness / Kendal, Cumbria £30 an hour Job Overview Randstad Agency is seeking a committed and experienced Youth Offending Case Manager to join our team in Barrow or Kendal. This role involves working with young people who are at risk of offending or have offended, providing case management, intervention, and support to reduce reoffending rates and promote positive outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in youth justice or social work and a passion for working with young people. Key Responsibilities Case Management: Manage a caseload of young people involved with the youth justice system, providing tailored support and intervention plans. Assessment and Planning: Conduct detailed assessments of young people's needs, risks, and strengths to develop effective intervention plans. Intervention: Deliver and coordinate evidence-based interventions aimed at reducing reoffending and promoting positive behavior change. Collaboration: Work closely with other professionals, including police, probation officers, social workers, and educational providers, to coordinate comprehensive support for young people. Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly monitor and evaluate the progress of young people, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes. Advocacy: Advocate for the needs and rights of young people within the justice system, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions, assessments, and interventions, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures. Qualifications and Skills Education: A degree in Social Work, Youth Justice, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience in youth offending services, youth justice, or similar roles involving case management and intervention with young people. Strong understanding of the youth justice system and relevant legislation. Excellent assessment and planning skills. Ability to build positive relationships with young people and their families.. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
